Special Arrangement for Carrying Bicycles On "Tsim Sha Tsui - Wanchai" Ferry Service

For provision of a public transport link between Tsim Sha Tsui and Hong Kong Island for cyclists and their bikes, the Company has revised the free trial arrangements on "Tsim Sha Tsui - Wan Chai" ferry service to allow a maximum of 10 bikes on board with effect from 31 May 2010. Details of the arrangements are as follows:

Child (under 12 years old) and Passenger with disabilities (upon production of Registration Card for People with Disabilities) $1.50 $1.80
Child under 3 (accompanied by a person of 12 years or more) and
Passengers aged 65 or above (upon production of HKID card or senior citizen card)

Special Arrangements for carrying bicycles 
1. Only the lower deck of vessels will be open to carry cyclists with bikes. 
2. Cyclists with bikes are not allowed to get on board at the following circumstances:
(a) At the peak hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on sailings from Wan Chai to Tsim Sha Tsui;
(b) When the lower deck is open for carrying passengers to cater for upsurge in demand; or
(c) Cyclists carrying goods on their bikes. 
3. For each sailing, a maximum of 10 bikes or a maximum of 8 bikes plus 2 wheelchairs are allowed to carry on board. Priority will be given to wheelchair users.
